One of the first well-known buildings in this part of the island was the Casa Marina Resort, which was built by Henry Flagler of Flagler Railroad fame. A community was built up around the hotel, which is how it got its name.
Back when it was first constructed, Casa Marina Hotel was the talk of the town – primarily because of its gorgeous design and stunning location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Today, the hotel hosts a number of events throughout the year including Annual Hospice Visiting Nurses Association July 4 Picnic.
The hotel is also well-known for its wedding packages. Interested brides and grooms have access to more than 22,600 square feet of indoor and outdoor venue options as well as an onsite wedding coordination service, onsite catering and more.
Today, the Casa Marina/Mid-Town area of Key West is well known for its large and generous-sized homes. These estates reflect a variety of architectural styles and all of them boast incredible locations near the Atlantic Ocean as well as Historic Old Town Key West.
